What is the hardest question to answer?
While this question is in itself extremely hard to answer, I
think one could make a good case that the simple question of “Why?” populates that spot.
So why is that? Hehe.
I would like to offer a train of thought that I believe to
be headed down the way of answering that.
I believe the reason we have such trouble answering the
question “Why?” is because more often
than not we do not even know why we do what we do.
Which is why the question of “Why do you do what you do?” is such a popular choice among
university admission offices.
So why did I bring this up?
I would like to encourage all of you to start with the why,
or at least “stop by” the why on your way of making decisions and taking action.
The “Why?” is or
at least should be the fundament upon which decision are made and actions are
taken.
So, I want to encourage you to start asking “Why?” like your life depends on it.
Start asking yourself why you do what you do, and why you decide
what you decide upon.
Starting with the why is how you start living a purposeful
life.
Starting with the why is how you start making a difference.
Starting with the why is what Growthinking is all about.
Start with the why.
Control the why, and you control the outcome.
Ignore the why, and you become a victim.
Ignore the why, and you give away control;
Control over your actions,
Control over your thinking,
And control over your life.
But make no mistake about it, asking “Why?” is hard,
It is extremely hard.
It takes effort, energy, and persistence.
But, it is worth it.
Start asking “Why?”.
Stay tuned.
